Mahilabad, located at a distance of 30 km from Lucknow, is the major producer of this mango. The Girnar hills in Junagadh are famous for being the land of lions, and then the juicy Kesar mangoes in Talala. This type of mango is known as the "Queen of Mango Fruits" in India. Junagadh is a farm located at a distance of 320 km from Ahmedabad. Kesar mangoes are known for their saffron (kesari) appearance and rich taste. Available from May to July, these are the most preferred varieties for exotic Gujarati and other dishes.
