Ratnagiri is located at a distance of about 330 km from Mumbai and is easily accessible by road and rail network. Available in mid-July, Alphonso Mango is internationally acclaimed for its golden yellow colour and delightful taste and its aroma. Named Alfonzo De Albuquerque, this luxurious mango king is a summer most favorite for mango lovers.

2. TOTAPURI MANGOES - (Bangalore, Karnataka)

These are one of the mangoes with slightly thicker threads, but taste much better. Totapuri mangoes are sweet and are also used for pickles when they are raw. The shape is oval and is widely eaten in the every state. The pulp is slightly different compared to other varieties because it is not very juicy, but has a thick texture and great taste. This mango season is available from May to July.

This is the royal Bangnapalli mangoes from the land of Andhra Pradesh widely sold all over India at distant place. You may like this type of mango for its juices and pulp made depending on the taste and juice. It is very pale skin on top and juicy in the inside. The size is very large compared to other types of mangoes. This mango is very great taste and eating it was a fun experience.

4. DASHEHARI MANGOES - (Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh)

The land of the Nawabs of Lucknow is equally famous for its royal and Nawabi Dashehari mangoes. North Indian Lucknow and all the surrounding towns are very famous place for its mango. Mahilabad, located at a distance of 30 km from Lucknow, is the major producer of this mango. These mango fruits are mainly available from mid May to the end of August, they are known for their raw skins and very tasty taste.

5. KESAR MANGOES - (Gir Junagadh, Gujarat)

The Girnar hills in Junagadh are famous for being the land of lions, and then the juicy Kesar mangoes in Talala. This type of mango is known as the "Queen of Mango Fruits" in India. Junagadh is a farm located at a distance of 320 km from Ahmedabad. Kesar mangoes are known for their saffron (kesari) appearance and rich taste. Available from May to July, these are the most preferred varieties for exotic Gujarati and other dishes.

6. BADAMI MANGOES - (Karnataka)

Badami mangoes are one of the most popular mangoes in Karnataka. It is called Hapus of Karnataka. It is very tasty and delicious. Badami mangoes are very sweet. It has a very much sugary taste and resembles hapus mangoes. This mango season is usually lasts from May to July.

7. LANGARA MANGOES - (Varanasi)
